Jedi Mind Tricks presents: Doap Nixon “Sour Diesel”, a long time mainstay in the thriving Philadelphia independent hip-hop scene, Doap Nixon is best known for his breakout performance on Army of the Pharaohs (the supergroup fronted by Vinnie Paz of Jedi Mind Tricks) late 2007 underground smash Ritual of Battle. Amidst a groundswell of anticipation, Doap unveils his debut LP, Sour Diesel, which features guest appearances from the core AOTP clique, including powerhouse Vinnie Paz (of Jedi Mind Tricks), Outerspace, King Syze, King Magnetic, Reef The Lost Cauze & more as well as production from some of independent hip-hop s most renowned and respected producers including Apathy, Snowgoons, Stu Bangas, Undefined, Stress, Skammadix amongst others.

Back in 1994, Hip Hop icons the D.I.T.C. (Diggi’ In The Crates) crew, which features Rap heavyweights Fat Joe, Big L, O.C., Diamond D, Showbiz & A.G., Lord Finesse and Buck Wild, went into NYC’s Chung King Studio to make an album. Using their established brand and trademark sound, they decided to shine some light on up and comers 40 oz, Armageddon, Terror Tongue, Amed, Silky Black, Page, Silky Black and Ghetto Dwellars and backed them with the production of Show, Diamond D, Buck Wild and Lord Finesse. Unfortunately, due to the usual industry red tape, the album was shelved… until now. Show himself has gone deep into the D.I.T.C. vaults and unearthed the 11 original tracks along with a remix of “Big Apple Gone Rotten” featuring Fat Joe. Unreleased Production 1994 is vintage D.I.T.C. sound: dusty, dark loops with neck snapping drums and deep booming bass… NjoY! (more…)

Sweet Lord is the third collaboration album from California rapper Murs (of the Living Legends) and North Carolina producer 9th Wonder (formerly of Little Brother). Like their other collaborations the album features ten songs, all produced by 9th Wonder, and is less than 40 minutes long. Murs stated in an online video that the album would be released for free through the internet as a “present” to his fans but only if they promise to actually purchase his upcoming album Murs For President and other upcoming albums he does with 9th Wonder.
